Mountain Bukhansan National Park
Bukhansan National Park, a rare urban nature park in the world, was designated as Korea's 15th national park in 1983. It covers an area of 76.922㎢ and is divided into the Dobongsan area to the north and the Bukhansan area to the south. Bukhansan National Park is dotted with sheer rocky peaks and beautiful valleys flowing between them as the granite ground has been eroded and weathered over the years. In addition, there are numerous historical and cultural relics, including the 2,000-year-old Bukhansanseong Fortress, as well as more than 100 temples and hermitages, providing a variety of attractions and a place for learning about history and culture.
