Samgaksan Dodangje is a ritual performed to honor the mountain gods, praying for the well-being, peace, and abundant harvest of the village.
The ritual, named 'Dodangje,' originated during the reign of King Chungnyeol of the Goryeo Dynasty (1275-1308).
Every year on March 3rd of the lunar calendar, residents of Ui-dong conduct and preserve the Dodangje ritual at the back of Ui-dong mountain, where the Dang House is located.
