Sin Ik-hui was a Korean independence fighter who wrote the draft of an interim constitution for the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea (1919-1945), in which he served as one of the members of the first National Assembly and as Vice Minister of Interior Affairs. He ran for the Chairman of the National Assembly and the Presidency after Korea was liberated from Japanese colonialism in 1945. His tomb is regarded as a valuable historical and educational site where Korean citizens can learn about and honor his patriotic life.
